What is a credit hour?

One credit hour represents one hour of classroom work per week for 16 weeks or its equivalent. For example, a three credit hour class will meet three times a week for an hour, two times a week for an hour and a half, or one day a week for three hours.

How big are the classes at Butler?

The average class size at Butler is around 17 per class. You will find no more than 35 in a class at one time.

Does Butler have different sites available for classes?

Yes, we have eight different sites in and around Butler County. To get more information on each individual site go to our campus sites home page.

Do I have to enroll at the same site I want to take classes at?

No, you can enroll for classes at any site.

Is there a visitation day for prospective students?

Yes, Butler's Open House takes place every year during the Fall. Students and their families are also welcome to visit the campus anytime. See our campus visit home page to get more information on how you can schedule your visit.
