Background Check

BCC contracts with clinical agencies which require that all students and instructors entering the agencies for clinical experience pass a background check. This check includes:

  • Social Security Number Verification
  • Criminal Search (7 years or up to 5 criminal searches)
  • Violent Sexual Offender and Predator Registry Search
  • HHS/OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities
  • GSA list of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs
  • U.S. Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), List of Specially Designated Nationals (SDN)
  • Applicable State Exclusion List

You need to have a background check to participate in clinical. Therefore it is important you complete this as soon as possible. For information on how to complete this you need to call 316-323-6070, 316-323-6072, or 316-323-6073 and confirm that you are enrolled in the class and that your mailing address is correct. You will then recieve instructions via e-mail or traditional mail on how to initiate and complete the check. The cost of this will vary depending on the number of searches that the company has to do. You will be dropped from the class if the background check is not completed 48 working-hours prior to the start of clinical.
