State Exam for Certified Nurse Aide
Allied Health at BCC will notify you of your state testing date and time. You must successfully complete the AH 122 Certified Nurse Aide before you are eligilble to test. The state exam is regulated and written by the Kansas Department of Health & Enviornment.
The cost of the exam is $20.00, which is collected with your tuition payment. All fees are nonrefundable. If you miss the exam, you pay the $20 again.
If you are late, or fail to appear for your scheduleed test, you will need to reschedule, which requires an aditional fee of $20.00. Call 316-320-7375, and request a rescheduling form.
YOU MUST BE ON TIME. The time and location of the exam will be provided for you on a testing form after you complete the class.
You must present two forms of identification, one must be a picture ID, to the test proctor at the test site.
You must be able to provide your social security number on the test for identification.
Each candidate has a total of three attempts within 12 months from the beginning date of the course to successfully completet the written state exam.
If the exam is not passed within 12 months from the starting date of the initial course, the course must be retaken before the student can test again.
After passing the state exam, you will receive you CNA card in the mail from Health and Enviorment. If you do not pass the exam, your will receive a notification letter from the state.
Certificates are issued 3-4 weeks after the test date.
