Information Assurance and Digital Forensics
In the Spring of 2005 Butler Community was asked to join the Cyber Security Education Consortium (CSEC). CSEC is mentored by the Dr. Sujeet Shenoi at University of Tulsa. In 2002 Dr. Shenoi received a three million dollar grant to establish a consortium of community colleges through the Midwest to instruct students in Information Assurance and Digital Forensics. Larry Evans, Lead Instructor, attended the University of Tulsa Cyber Corps Instructor Training to provide the best possible experience for the student.
A student will receive the CNSS 4011 certification upon successful completion of the degree program. This certification designates federal training standards. This degree program also covers the certification objectives for the Security +, and the Security Certified Program Network Professional certificates.
For the student who completes the Information Assurance and Digital Forensics Degree Program will have the educational background to enter one of the most exciting professions in the IT industry, whether it be in government, law enforcement, or private industry.
