English Department Adjunct Information
How To Use This Guide
This page is designed Butler County Community College Adjunct English instructor. It contains the departmental policies and basic philosophies of English instruction as well as specific information (syllabi, assessment tools, etc. ) pertaining to the teaching of English at Butler County Community College. All instructors should use the following outlines as official guidelines when developing their individual syllabi for the purpose of maintaining consistent instructional course goals.
Keep in mind that the department does not demand that each class be taught exactly the same way, but the purpose behind having established course outlines is student-orientated: all Butler students enrolling in an English course will receive consistent and quality instruction based on the fundamental objectives of that course.
This guide is not all inclusive nor does it provide all of the answers. My goal for this is to help us all get a solid start with our classes. I am confident that it can be yet another step toward a successful semester. Good luck with your semester!
