The Fine Arts & Communication Division is an exciting place to be at Butler—theater shows, music, painting, pottery, jewelry, newspaper, magazine, television and radio stations. We have a beautiful art gallery, our own theatre, music and dance—as well as many fabulous scholarship opportunities!
Courses in the Fine Arts & Communication will enable you to create and communicate your individual ideas and talents, to interpret the ideas and creativity of others, to develop critical–thinking skills, and to appreciate the arts and communication disciplines.
Our courses offer performance opportunities in dance, theatre, and music; studio classes in two-dimensional and three–dimensional art; practical experience in radio, television, newspaper and magazine—so much that we have to have twenty full time faculty members just to teach it all!
As a student in the Division of Fine Arts & Communication you may take general education courses or fulfill degree requirements as majors in art, dance, mass communications, music, speech, or theatre. Remember, make sure to ask about scholarship opportunities. We have a lot to offer!
