Information Technologies

Knowledge is definitely power if you know how to manage IT.

We’ve all been living in the age of information for some time now. We’ve built a global infrastructure that is far more sophisticated than we could have imagined when the age began. Today it seems that almost every human enterprise is supported and advanced by information technology. And that makes the professionals who invent and maintain that technology absolutely critical to just about every other profession, industry and service.

Do you love exploring what computers can do – and what they can do next? Do you like the idea of being the “tech” that finds solutions for the millions of computer users who aren’t computer experts? Do you like using digital technology as a creative tool to build applications, websites or animated, virtual worlds? Butler offers degree and certification programs for all of these areas of interest and then some.

Special programs for high school and non-traditional students.

Our new Early College Information Technology Academy offers high school students an opportunity to begin building college credit in these fields of study while they are still in high school. We also offer credit and non-credit courses through our Information Technology Institute for non-traditional students who are interested in expanding their skills.

All in all, information technology at Butler is a flexible, student-responsive learning experience designed to help you succeed in the constantly advancing world of digital information services.
