Early College Health Sciences Academy

Early College Health Sciences Academy

The Early College Health Sciences Academy (ECHSA) offers an exceptional opportunity for students to integrate the last two years of high school and the first two years of college.

Located at Rose Hill High School USD 394, students are prepared for a career in health care and immersed in the college learning experience as a high school student. The two-year program allows students to earn a diploma and a significant portion of an associate degree by their high school graduation.

Graduates of the Academy can:

  • Transition into the Butler nursing program to attain an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree and be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure
  • Continue at Butler in a variety of programs including Pre-Veterinarian, Science Education and medical office support
  • Gain immediate employment in various health care positions
  • Transfer to a four-year institution to further studies

Taking advantage of this opportunity will benefit your student and place them far ahead of their classmates.

In 2015, 82% of Early College Health Sciences Academy graduates earned their Associate’s degrees from Butler prior to high school graduation.
