Fine Arts & Communication Scholarships
You can receive funding for college while gaining valuable experience through our scholarships! Activity scholarships that pay for in-state tuition and provide a book allowance (all books are provided and returned at the end of the semester) are available in:
- Box Office Management
- Instrumental Music and Keyboard Instruments
- Mass Communications (magazine, newspaper, sports media and radio-TV-film)
- Technical Theatre and Theatre Performance
- Vocal Music Singers and Combo Players
Additional cash endowed scholarships are available for Art students.
UPDATE: You can now download a PDF of the Fine Arts Audition day schedule to plan your day. Students auditioning on the same day for multiple departments will be contacted about their audition schedule. Students auditioning for Vocal Music will be placed in an audition group and notified before the audition day.
You are not required to major in the field for which the scholarship is granted.
Formal auditions and interviews are conducted on Fine Arts Days held Saturday, February 7, 2015 and Friday, March 6, 2015 for the Fall 2015 semester. Students are encouraged to attend a Fine Arts Day, however individual auditions may be scheduled as time allows. Contact the specific program or department for availability. Occasionally, additional scholarships are awarded during the Fall for the following Spring semester.
Each department has different requirements for their audition and interview process. It is possible to audition for multiple departments, though you can only accept one scholarship. To learn how to prepare for your audition or interview, select from the appropriate department in the "Pages in Fine Arts & Communication Scholarships" navigation list.
