RD011 and RD014 provide practice with and study of vocabulary. In RD011, you will also practice reading comprehension at your own grade level and with higher level materials. This course studies phonics, syllabication, main idea, and supporting details. You will study paragraph organization for main idea and supporting details. RD014 also spends time with American cliches and figurative language.
RD012 and RD015 provide practice with and study of vocabulary. As a RD012 or RD 015 student, you will also practice reading comprehension at your grade level and with college-level materials. Students learn to decipher words with sentence context and with syllabication. You will study passages for main idea and supporting details. RD015 also devotes time to American cliches and figurative language.
RD114 is a continuation of reading strategies and vocabulary development and is an elective. You will earn credit in this course.
