Butler Concert Choir performs in the Spirit of the Season concert at Century II with Wichita Symphony Orchestra.

On Dec. 5, 100 students in the Butler Community College Concert Choir are performing with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. This performance is held in Wichita at the Century II Convention Hall. This year, the guest conductor is Michael Hanawalt, the Director of Choral Activities at Wichita State University. The songs the musicians will be performing include: The Hallelujah Chorus, Sing We Now of Christmas (an audience sing-along), The Concert Suite from The Polar Express and Fantasia on Christmas Carols. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. and since the concert is an annual gift to the community, this performance is free admission to all.

You can reserve tickets online at http://wichitasymphony.org/events/spirit-of-the-season-free-family-holiday-concert. Canned food donations for the Kansas Food Bank, and cash donations for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra’s education programs will also be accepted at this event.
