Fine Arts & Communications Division Open House Friday Jan. 30

Live music, light hors’ devourers, a faculty art show and perhaps a few surprises will all be part of an Open House for the Butler Community College Fine Arts & Communication Division next week. The event will be held Friday, Jan. 30, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting planned for 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, #700, on Butler’s El Dorado campus.

“We’re excited to showcase our various Fine Arts programs in this way,” said Dr. Jay Moorman, dean of Fine Arts and Communications at Butler. “We’ve recently updated the seating in our theatre to better accommodate our guests and we’re always thrilled to highlight the talents of our students. The Butler Faculty Art Exhibit opens Friday evening as well in the White Gallery.”

The event will also include art, vocal and instrumental music demonstrations. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
