Butler Community College of El Dorado, Kansas will host The Great Plains Conference on Acceleration.

Butler Community College of El Dorado, Kansas will host The Great Plains Conference on Acceleration on March 8th and 9th, 2018. This conference will provide information and support for colleges considering or undergoing developmental education redesign in English and math. The workshop is designed for faculty, academic deans, enrollment managers, advisors, learning support directors, and testing personnel responsible for the setup, implementation and maintenance of Accuplacer testing.

The two-day event will be held in the Butler Community College Hubbard Welcome Center in El Dorado. Three nationally recognized speakers will give presentations. Speakers include Susan Gabriel, Director of the Accelerated Learning Program at the Community College of Baltimore County, Jesse Kiefner, Director of the Accelerated Mathematics Program at the Community College of Baltimore County and Patrick Saxon, Director of the Developmental Education Doctoral Program at Sam Houston State.
