Need a quiet place to study, to use a computer, or to get some research help in the 5000 Building? Come visit Andover 5000 Library, located near the bookstore.
Your Butler ID is your library card. You may check out a total of 10 items at a time, with a maximum of 5 DVDs in the total.

We can show you how to conduct research, and how to cite your print and Internet resources.
You may place a reserve by contacting a librarian or staff member to have the reserve placed for you at (316)218-6371. Or reserve online by creating a personal library account using your Butler ID number on the library online catalog.
The user is responsible for lost or damaged items. Charges include the replacement price of the material, plus a $10.00 processing fee for each item. Magazines have a $5.00 processing fee added to the price. Holds may be put on the student´s college account for overdue items at the end of each semester by Accounts Receivable.
Bring returned items to the librarian at librarian staff desk. Items may also be returned to other Butler sites.
Search the catalog for a collection of books, E-books, & DVDs. (look here for a step by step video on how to search the catalog) Your Butler ID is your library card. If we don´t have what you´re looking for, we can quickly get materials from other locations.
Search the Databases A-Z or by Databases by Subject for journal articles. Try Journal Finder if you want to know where to find a journal and its years of coverage in an online database or ask a librarian for help.

The computers in the library offer Microsoft Office and Internet access during library hours.
All computers in the library print to the north corridor printer located near the front desk in the lobby. Printing is free of charge.
