What is it?

The DEWEY is an annual award to recognize a faculty member who is an outstanding user of the Butler library. This might include:

• innovative, consistent, effective use of the library in teaching
• program activities that bring students and/or the community into the library
• promotion, encouragement or support of the library and its resources and services
• contributions towards thoughtful, timely, and in-depth resource development

Since faculty model Butler's principles and timeless values to students so closely, this award serves to recognize an extraordinary developer of library users of a new generation. We applaud faculty's valuable contribution to the education of our students.
