Kansas Library Catalog Tutorial

Many times your results list will not contain the exact material you are looking for on your topic. If you have too many results, you will want to narrow your topic. If you have too little results, you will want to broaden your search to bring up more results. Because of the limited amount of books and videos that are available in the library catalog, you may have to broaden your search more than narrow it.

Power Searching allows you to narrow or broaden your search by combining two or more keywords with the Boolean operators, “and”, “or”, “not”. To better understand how to use Boolean operators click on Narrowing or Broadening Your Search.
