Finding Books - Searching the Library Catalog -- Title, Author
A Title search allows you to look in our library catalog for a specific book. Ex.
If the book is in our collection, you will see the title in the results list. If it is not in our collection, the catalog will bring up a results list similar to your title, but not exactly your title. You are not out of luck though. You can go to the Kansas Library Catalog and look for your title. Or you can go to InterLibrary Loan on the library web site to order the book. A specific Author can be found by entering the last name first and first name last ex. (King, Stephen) in the box and clicking on the author icon. If we have books by that author, that persons name will show up with the number of books written by that person.
If we do not have books by that author, similar names will appear but not that specific name. As with an unsuccessful title search, you can go to the Kansas Library Catalog and InterLibrary Loan for access to those books. |
