Other Information:

• Graduated from Wesley School of Nursing    ( diploma ) so long ago that it is embarrassing
• Received BSN and MSN from Fort Hays State University
• Began teaching nursing in 1994 at Fort Hays State .
• Began teaching nursing at Butler in 3rd semester 2001.
• Married, have two children, and two GRANDKIDS.

Areas of Professional Interest:

• Hemodialysis interest and work experience
• Intensive care ( especially cardiac ) is a favorite.
• Favorite teaching strategy is using questions.

Areas of  Personal Interest:

• Grandchildren: Makenna and David
• Children: Darren and Michelle, both grown
• Married to Dan Gifford who is a retired Highway Patrolman and current court security officer.
• Hobbies are flower gardening, reading, and sewing
