Online Orientation
Online Orientation is highly recommended that first-time online students who reside within a reasonable driving distance of either the El Dorado or Andover campus attend one of the orientations to online courses prior to the start of their coursework. For students who live further away, a virtual online orientation is now available.
At orientations, students will be introduced to the courseware and method of delivery for the courses. Library assistants will be available during each session to assist online students with learning to use online databases for research. The orientation information is provided in an unstructured, one-on-one manner and requires about twenty minutes. To participate in orientation, students should be prepared to use their Pipeline username and password. Help desk personnel will be available to provide assistance with this information.
Participants are welcome anytime during the scheduled blocks of time. However, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the end of the session. If a first time online student is unable to attend any scheduled orientation, it is the student's responsibility to contact the instructor to answer questions about the course.
