Dr. Ramona Becker
Hello, I am a dedicated Butler Political Science adjunct faculty member. I have a fulltime position with the college as the Organizational and Staff Development Director. I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Wichita State University in the Political Science Department in 1989-91. In addition, I have taught various classes in the computer technology field for Butler and our former Business and Industry Institute. It was my privilage to be a political appointee in Topeka from 1991-1995 as the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection for the Kansas Corporation Commission.
As a devoted lifelong learner, I have acquired five degrees so far in the areas of Political Science, Respiratory Therapy, Spanish, and Instructional Technology and Distance Education. I am zealous about a number of things in life including my family, art, government and politics, technology, fitness, music, dancing, alternative energy, general systems theory, travel, and communication. I am passionate about online learning and thoroughly enjoy teaching political science online each semester for Butler students.
I believe that government affects every single one of our lives every day in so many significant ways that we should all pay close attention to what is happening. It is my hope that each studdent will feel the same way when they have completed any of our courses and that it will impact their thoughts and behavior for the rest of their lives.
