Political Science

MainPicOur government regulates chaos and balances policy. Learn the basic principals of political science with courses in American federal government, state and local government, current affairs, and international relations. Understand the world around you and learn political terminology, theory, functions and comparative governments. Lead your Country into the world of tomorrow!

In the next five years, the political science department, as a part of the Learning College of Choice, will facilitate learning within exceptional instructional programs and services assigned to this division that address the needs of students and stakeholders in the region.

What we offer:

  • Preparing students for transfer to colleges and universities

  • Preparing students for careers

  • Preparing students to be engaged in local, state and federal governance

  • Providing instruction in personal interest areas

  • Developing Learning PACT skills

  • Providing access to student learning through multiple locations and delivery systems

  • Providing instructional leadership for the college

Participating in the college's commitment to organizational performance management, the political science department will be a performance-based system that evaluates programs and services by documenting and evaluating students' skills, knowledge and stakeholder satisfaction.
