Butler Of Marion

Butler County Community College began offering classes in 1975 at Marion High School. As enrollment steadily grew over the years it became essentional that a full service campus site was needed in Marion County. So in the spring of 1992 a center was created in an abandoned hardware store on Marion's Main Street. By the fall of 1992 both the number of staff and students had doubled. In order to solved the space problem the center expanded into the Bown-Corby Building, the city's old grade school. Today, the Bown-Corby Building is the sole site at Marion. Students attending here have the opportunity to fully complete their degree without having to attend classes at any other site. Butler of Marion Features two computer labs, a center for independent study, and allied health and nursing facility, and eight general education classrooms.
