The art department of Butler Community College offers a diverse program of study in the visual arts. The goals of the art department are to enhance the students creativity, to provide the opportunity to experience a variety of art mediums each with its own unique expressive potential, and to prepare those students who might wish to pursue their studies beyond the community college level. To accomplish these goals, Butler Community College has organized a program of study in art which provides a solid foundation in drawing, two-dimensional design and three-dimensional design. In addition, the art department offers beginning and advanced course work in painting, drawing, ceramics, computer graphics and jewelry.
