Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Make a critical difference.

Butler’s training program for EMTs emphasizes real-world clinical experience in a variety of emergency settings. You’ll learn what it’s like to work with Butler County Sheriff Detectives, and train for rescue operations with Butler County Rescue Squad. You’ll get firsthand exposure to EMS operations in the field with Butler County EMS and Sedgwick County EMS and in area emergency rooms. We’ll teach you critical skills such as wound management, how to immobilize a fractured limb or neck and the use of emergency equipment like defibrillators and airway devices.
