COVID-19 Protocols

COVID-19 continues to circulate globally, however, with the tools available for reducing COVID-19 severity, the risk of illness is less severe compared to earlier in the pandemic. Butler has aligned their COVID-19 response mitigation with the CDC's updated recommendations.

Exposure Protocols

Exposure to COVID-19 (regardless of vaccination status) does NOT require quarantine unless symptoms are present. Individuals with symptoms should stay home and get tested. If you're not having symptoms, it is recommended to get tested 5 days after exposure.
College Health Services continues to offer free sputum COVID PCR testing at their Andover and El Dorado clinics Monday through Friday, with results the following morning.

COVID-19 Positive Protocol

If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home and isolate from others for 5 days. After isolating for 5 days and are fever free for 24 hours (without the use of medication) you may end isolation as long as your symptoms are improving. It is recommended that you wear a mask while in public for 5 days after your isolation.
