Accessibility Workshop Series

After months of research and piloting, Butler Community College’s EdTech department has released a series of online workshops for ensuring course accessibility. These workshops address current issues with practical, hands-on solutions. Both instructional designers and faculty will find useful tools and tips regardless of current experience or knowledge. Participants will benefit from the applied strategies that Butler uses with its own online course development.

The original workshop series, released in 2017, has been updated regularly as standards continue to be refined. The workshops are self-paced, and totally online. Progressing from overview to detailed solutions, the workshops will provide a range of skills and tools for transforming course materials to meet section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
