Math Placement at Butler

All Students who are admitted to Butler must have a math placement test score in order to enroll in any Butler math course. (Butler accepts ACT, ACCUPLACER, COMPASS, SAT, and ASSET)

Step 1 - Math Placement Testing

If you do not have a math placement score, or your scores are more than three years old, you will be required to take the ACCUPLACER test. Testing hours vary depending on campus location.

Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 - My Math Plan Assessment

Based on your math placement score:

If you have been placed directly into college algebra you have the option to take the My Math Plan Assessment.
If you have been placed into Intermediate or below you will be required to take the My Math Plan Assessment.

We encourage you to use our study resources located below to help prepare you for your tests and place you in the module that is right for you.

If you do not know your scores, contact the advising office
