Butler is the perfect place to explore all dimensions of Mass Communications. You will be put in touch with professionals at television stations, radio stations and publications across the state. You will have the opportunity for working internships and job opportunities. Whether you want a career in Mass Communications or just want to DJ on the campus radio station, there is something for you. Many of our students are on activity scholarships that pay for in-state tuition costs and books!
There are four student media outlets including a magazine, radio station, newspaper, and television station for students to engage in at Butler. You also get to create stories, photo spreads and audio and video clips exclusively for a web audience. Butler's unique Sports Media program combines all of these electronic and print mediums; you can help others cover over 300 events every year. You moderate coaches shows on Butler Television, broadcast home and away games on Butler Radio and create stories and photo features for The Lantern and The Grizzly.
