Welcome to Butler Community College! Thank you for taking the time to visit the Butler Police and  Public Safety Department website. I am extremely proud and honored to be a part of a progressive campus law enforcement agency and would like to tell you a little more about the department.

Your Butler Police and Public Safety Department is a certified law enforcement agency recognized by the Kansas Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission. We have a very dedicated and professional staff who are always willing to serve you. We are committed to the prevention of crime and the protection of life and property. The department was established to provide the highest degree of safety and security possible for the entire Butler Community College community. The department employs Kansas certified law enforcement officers, provides protection of campus and local assets, and enforces all State laws and ordinances. All officers of the Butler Police and Public Safety Department are highly qualified trained professionals and are required to complete annual in-service training. We also attend specialized training courses to allow us to be more proficient in our duties and better serve the Butler Community College community. All Butler Police and Public Safety Officers are committed to providing personal and property safety information and various programs designed to help make your educational and working experience at Butler Community College as safe, enjoyable, and crime-free as possible.
