Advising Appointments

Advising appointments are limited. If appointment times are full, students are welcome to enroll on a walk-in basis at any Location or complete the Release to Enroll form to enroll online. 

No in-person appointments are available for the month of January. Walk-ins are available at every location. 
Limited phone and virtual appointments are available Monday-Thursday for the month of January.

For in person appointments masks are not required but recommended.

For phone and virtual appointments students must be logged into their My.ButlerCC accounts so an advisor can assist with online enrollment. For login assistance contact the Technical Service Desk at 316-322-3306.


Before enrolling, please make sure you have the following on file or available with you:

New Student:

  • Application for Admission
  • Copy of previous high school and/or college transcripts (if applicable)
  • ACT/SAT or ACCUPLACER placement scores within the last 3 years (if applicable). *Depending on your scores, high school grades and GPA, you may need additional testing

Returning Student: 

  • A Returning Student application for Admission if you have sat out at Butler for 1 semester
  • Copies of college transcripts if you have attended another college since your last semester at Butler

High School Student: 

  • An application for Admission
  • High School Release Form, signed by your high school principal
  • Copy of your high school transcript
  • Copy of your ACT/SAT scores (if applicable). *Depending on your scores, high school grades and GPA, you may need additional testing


Phone Appointment Etiquette

  • Phone appointments should be treated with the same professionalism as an in-person advising appointment.
  • Find a quiet location with minimal distractions so you can remain engaged with the advisor throughout your appointment. 
  • We highly recommend using a computer or laptop instead of a phone. Not all features are as user friendly in the MyButlerCC app so we encourage you to be logged into the website.
  • Please be at your computer, logged into your MyButlerCC account and ready when the advisor calls you at the time of your appointment.

Virtual Appointment Etiquette

  • Virtual appointments should be treated with the same professionalism as an in-person advising appointment.
  • Find a quiet location with minimal distractions so you can remain engaged with the advisor throughout your appointment. 
  • We highly recommend using a computer or laptop instead of a phone. You will be alternating between MyButlerrCC and Microsoft Teams for enrollment.
  • Make sure your webcam and microphone are on and working.
  • Please be at your computer, logged into your MyButlerCC account and ready at the time of your appointment.
  • Make sure to click “Join your appointment” in your email and log into Microsoft Teams using your Butler login information.
