Weekend Welding provides flexible training for a high-demand career in welding, or hobbyists looking for welding skills.

Welding continues to be a high-demand career and Butler is providing an accelerated path to the workforce.

Fast Track Welding Now Has a New Weekend Format!

Career and Workforce Education now offers a 6 day, non-credit, fast track Saturday program that lets you learn the skills and safety practices to perform various types of welding on carbon steel.

Learn 1, 2 or all 3 processes!

  • Gas metal arc (GMAW)
  • Gas tungsten arc (GTAW)
  • Shielded metal arc (SMAW)

This approach will allow individuals, both employed and those looking for employment, to advance their career in a manner that works around the demands of their schedule. It’s also a great way for hobbyists to learn basic welding safety and skills.

Interested in becoming AWS Certified?

A welding certification lets employers know that you have successfully completed a practical test of your ability to perform one type of sound weld in accordance with industry standards.

The American Welding Society (AWS) has developed a program for certifying welders to national standards that is recognized by many industries. Butler CC uses Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) capable of conducting the AWS certification.
