Combo Player Scholarships
The Vocal Music Department grants scholarships to students who play instruments in the showchoir combos. Each year, scholarships are granted for keyboard players, bass guitar players, guitar players, and drummers who can read music/charts with accuracy and energy. Instrumentalists who can read chords, improvise, and play by ear are considered as well. Students involved in the Combo are also required to sing in the Concert Choir.
To register for an audition, you'll need to fill out the online registration form on the Fine Arts and Communication Scholarships page. To prepare for your audition, follow the information below.
For your Audition:
All students must schedule a time-slot for their audition. Students should be prepared to demonstrate at least two distinctly different styles of playing. Memorized pieces are suggested but not required. Also, a letter of recommendation from a high school music instructor or private teacher and a recent photograph are due at time of audition.
