Butler Community College is located in the state of Kansas, at the heart of the United States. While studying at Butler it is easy to explore the country and American culture due to its central geographic location. Within a day’s drive of the college are opportunities to ski in Colorado, see the arch in St. Louis, or attend a soccer game in Kansas City.
This is home to the main campus of Butler Community College. El Dorado, with a population of close to 13,000, has a hometown feel. Downtown has cool shops, local eateries, and community fun. The nearby lake provides fishing and camping opportunities, as well as beautiful trails for running or exercise. It is located only 30 minutes from Wichita, the largest city in Kansas.
Our largest campus is located in Andover, Kansas. Many students commute to this campus and typically live in nearby Wichita, located only five minutes away. Being this close to the city provides endless possibilities of activities and events in the area.
The largest city in Kansas is easily accessible from Butler’s campuses. Popular attractions include the zoos, numerous museums, and historic districts like Old Town. The many restaurants and eateries provide ample opportunity for students to enjoy the local city.
Only a short three-hour drive from Butler, Kansas City is a cultural staple to the Midwest. Famous for its barbecue and the Kansas City Royals baseball team, activities are limited only by how much time you have to spend there. With world-class museums, sports games, amusement parks and shopping, the city provides an excellent weekend get-away.
