About Pre-Veterinarian

If you’re up for a rigorous academic challenge, go for a pre-veterinary degree! Graduating with your associate degree will save you money on your education. By taking advantage of small-sized math, chemistry and biology courses, you learn the basics of a pre-veterinarian education from faculty who care about you.  You also learn the fundamentals of livestock nutrition, livestock management and agribusiness – all classes that train you in dealing with large animals and managing businesses related to them.

Butler prepares you to successfully transfer to a four-year college and then head into a veterinary science program where you can obtain your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. You must first graduate with a four-year degree, take specific exams and then apply to veterinary school to become a veterinarian.
