About Exercise Science

Exercise Science

The field of Exercise Science offers job opportunities that are expanding at a rapid pace. Our aging population, societal health, and slow-shifting change in our country’s health care model from treatment to preventative care all are contributing factors that have this job field growing at a rate nearly 20% faster than any other according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Students who are seeking to work in a variety of roles can obtain a two-year degree in the Exercise Science program at Butler. This field of study incorporates learning principles of anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, athletic training, sport psychology, and social sciences. Butler’s program provides the student many opportunities to gain an understanding of these sub-disciplines through practical, hands on learning opportunities.
