Butler Music Department will perform at the Celebration of Freedom Concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6 in the Clifford/Stone Room of the Hubbard Welcome Center on the El Dorado campus.
The Celebration of Freedom Concert will feature patriotic and traditional American music performed by the Butler Community College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Selections include “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “America the Beautiful,” “Shenandoah,” and a traditional march entitled “The Home Town Boy.” A rendition of the Armed Forces Medley will provide a great opportunity to recognize veterans in the audience. The Jazz Ensemble will perform big band and World War II era classics such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “In the Mood.”
Tickets are free. No reservations are necessary. This concert is made possible by the Freedom Committee of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and the Butler Community College Instrumental Music program.
The Butler Instrumental Music Department presents several concerts each year and offers full in-state tuition and book scholarships to qualifying students. Interested students should contact Lead Instrumental Music Instructor Brett Martinez, firstname.lastname@example.org.
