Butler Community College’s Livestock Judging Team has Another Win

Butler’s Judging Team Wins Champion Team Overall at the San Antonio Stock Show and the Freshman Team Wins Champion Team Overall at the Nebraska Cattleman’s Classic.

Butler Community College’s Sophomore Livestock Judging Team won Reserve Champion Team Overall at the San Antonio Stock Show. They also received Champion Team in Reasons, Sheep and Swine.

Butler’s Freshman Livestock Judging Team won Champion Team Overall at the Nebraska Cattleman’s Classic. This group was also awarded Third High Team Overall, Fourth High Team Overall, Champion Team Reasons, Reserve Champion Team Reasons and Champion Team Placings.

Payton Dahmer of Nevada, Mo., Whitney Whitaker of Atascadero, Calif., Haley Stark of Deland, Fla., Lucas Tuck of Pemberville, Ohio, Trevor Rosso of Deland, Fla., Kaylee Farmer of Deerfield, Mo., Sydnee Gerken of Kingfisher, Okla., Lexi Kaiser of Eagle Point, Ore., Miles Stagemeyer of Oneill, Neb., Ryan Gifford of Eagle Point, Ore., Joseph Fickett of San Simon, Ariz., Justin Barnes of Stephenville, Texas, Justin Nofziger of Wauseon, Ohio, Cooper Carlisle of Ropesville, Texas and Cade Hibdon of Princeton, Kan.  

The first annual San Antonio Stock Show was held in 1950. The Nebraska Cattleman’s Classic was developed later in 1991. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame (PRHF) in 2008.
