Wichita South High School students obtain knowledge and scholarships.

Butler Community College awarded three Wichita South High School Titan University participants with a 15 credit hour scholarship and a $500 per semester book scholarship. The book scholarship is renewable with satisfactory progress. The awardees are Norma Vargas Moya, Dianna Velasco and Kobe Hicks.

Titan University at South High School in Wichita, in partnership with Wichita State University’s Gear Up program and Butler Community College, helps current high school students learn more about applying for college and obtaining scholarships. During their time in this program students prepare for college exams, apply for college and financial aid, complete a résumé and participate in a community service project. They also learn the value of both a high school and college education.
