Art Department to Feature Kathleen Shanahan’s Work in New Exhibit

Shanahan presents “Fast/Slow Forward to Now…A Collection.”
Published: Tuesday, January 21st, 2025

Kathleen Shanahan's Art Exhibit will be featured from January 27 - February 14.

Contemporary Wichita artist Kathleen Shanahan will be the next featured creator at Butler Community College’s Erman B. White Gallery of Art, with this showing titled as “Fast/Slow Forward to Now…A Collection.”

“Fast/Slow Forward to Now…A Collection” highlights the wonders of mixed media by blending diverse images and materials to display Shanahan’s passion for creating visual contrast.

Shanahan describes creating these pieces as “puzzles [that] started with a visual element that captured my imagination. I like exploring frictions among contrasting materials and images.”

Shanahan’s work can be found on Instagram at Kathy Shanahan or on Facebook at Kathy Shanahan.
