Butler Hosts 2025 Student Life Awards

Outstanding individuals recognized at 17th annual event.
On May 7, Butler Community College faculty, staff and students gathered in the R.D. Hubbard Welcome Center in El Dorado to celebrate the 2025 Student Life Awards. Now in its 17th year, the Student Life Awards recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions to the College by students and employees over the past year.
Interim President Dr. Jackie Vietti addressed the nominees at the opening of the ceremony, saying, “You are what makes Butler—the second-largest, first-best community college in the state—so special. Thank you all for making this my favorite time of year.”
In addition to the awards, leaders from Butler’s Student Government Association were recognized for their contributions this year, and students who completed a nationally-recognized Spanish language fluency program received a special certificate from Foreign Language Department Chair Dr. Kelsey Harper.
