As part of Butler’s award-winning Agriculture program, our designed to teach you the fundamentals of livestock and cattle. You study the nutrition, health and reproduction techniques of livestock. Get hands-on experience with rangeland and cattle management.
In addition to learning all about the animals themselves, you study the nuts and bolts of operating an agricultural or livestock-related business. You engage with economics, finance and marketing to expand your skillset.
We have full-use, modern ag facilities, located along the southern edge of our El Dorado campus. The complex houses pasture, corrals, cattle chutes and room for indoor animal management. We also have learning labs and an indoor arena.
Our program is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of an Animal Science career. Once you earn your associate degree, you have transfer options to build on your Butler experience.
