Diesel Mechanics Are Trained Here

Our diesel program prepares you for job opportunities in the El Dorado and Wichita areas, such as South Central Diesel and other diesel mechanic businesses. You can benefit your community as you work on daily drivers, city buses or semis that contribute to the food industry.

Industry-Based Training

We prepare you to work on diesel engines with technical knowledge and practiced skills. You'll be ready to repair trucks, buses and other commercial vehicles. You encounter a wide range of critical topics in the diesel maintenance industry like:

  • Brake system
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • Preventative maintenance inspections

    Diesel Technology Certificate Information

    Apply technical knowledge and skills to the specialized maintenance and repair of various vehicles and heavy equipment. You learn to maintain and repair diesel engines, suspension and steering systems, electrical and electronic systems and more. In two semesters, you have the skills you need to get started in the industry.

    This program is ideal for those looking to begin their diesel career as an entry level diesel technician or a student considering a generalized program to pursue further study at a four-year university.
