First Responder Training

Does a life as a first responder excite you? As an Emergency Medical Responder, you’re the first on scene after an accident or during an emergency. Learn to give basic life support care to ill or injured patients. Complete assessments on trauma and medical patients, manage wounds and immobilize fractures on scene.

First to be Trusted

Practice performing CPR, using automated external defibrillators, and administering certain medications in the pre-hospital setting. As an EMR, the public trusts you with their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

    Fees collected with tuition:

    • $75 – Lab fee
    • $50 – Platinum EMS Testing
    • $36 – AHA BLS Heartcode
    • $75 – State skills exam fee

    These fees are the student’s responsibility:

    • $15 – KS Board of EMS certification fee
    • $50 – KS Board of EMS background check
    • $88 – National Registry written exam fee
    • $70 – BCC background check & drug screen
