Water Main Break at Butler of El Dorado

A water main break has occurred at the Butler of El Dorado campus. As a result, Butler Community College will implement the Virtual Learning Policy for all classes at the Butler of El Dorado campus on Monday, August 24. This only impacts the Butler of El Dorado campus. All other classes at all other locations will be held as scheduled. This is for Monday, August 24, only. As the Facilities Management staff is able to address this issue, updates will be provided to all Butler faculty, staff and students through GrizzlySAFE. Thank you!

Change Your Major

Deciding to change your major can be a difficult decision. Contact an advisor if you need help determining which major best meets your academic and career goals. Current major and degree requirements can be found through the MyDegree@Butler link on your MyButlerCC home page.

In Person

Walk-in to meet with an advisor, who will review and submit your request for a major change. It may take up to five business days for the major change to be reflected on your student records.

Request Online

  • Access your MyButlerCC account.
    • For username and password assistance, contact the Service Desk at 316.322.3306.
  • Click the My Records tile.
  • Click Change My Major (on the left).
  • Fill out the form.

Note: Students who have a current PACE agreement on file or are receiving veterans benefits are not eligible to request a major change online.

Financial Aid Eligibility

In order to receive federal financial aid and most types of institutional aid, you must be in a degree seeking program or eligible certificate program. To determine if your major is eligible, contact Financial Aid. Guest students are not eligible for financial aid.

If you are non-degree seeking and want to declare your intent to pursue a degree or certificate, you may be required to complete assessment testing.
