About the Gallery
The Erman B. White Gallery of Art opened in October 1992 through a generous gift from Helen White and her son, Tom, in memory of Erman B. White.
A 1927 graduate of El Dorado High School, Erman B. White founded the E. B. White Flying Service in El Dorado in 1940. In 1948, he established White & Ellis Drilling Company in Emporia before moving the business to El Dorado in 1951. He died in 1959.
Today, the gallery presents exhibitions throughout the fall and spring semesters featuring a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, architecture, handcrafted jewelry, and photography.
