Advising Appointments Your Way

Academic Advisors play an important role during your time at Butler. Advisors are available in-person on a walk-in basis Monday and Friday or by appointment Tuesday through Thursday with limited walk-in availability. Advisors are also available remotely via phone or Zoom appointment to assist with enrollment. Appointments are not required and can be limited during peak enrollment times.  

Current or Returning students in good standing can fill out the release to enroll online form and get permission to enroll themselves through MyButlerCC without the assistance of an advisor.

Do Not Need Appointment

Guest Student - Students have permission to enroll themselves online through MyButlerCC. 
International Student - International students can only enroll with an International advisor. 
Athlete - Students recruited to play at Butler can only enroll with the Athletic Advisor. 

Ways to Schedule Appointments

    Appointments may be limited or not available during peak enrollment times.

    In person appointments are available for all student types (New, Current, Returning, Transfer, and High School).

    • Once you have scheduled your enrollment appointment, you will receive a confirmation email and text (optional) with your appointment date, time, location, and advisor. If you do not receive your confirmation email, check your junk/spam email or call 316-322-3163.
    • Please call if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
    • Show up on time and check-in with the Advising front desk.
    • If you are more than 5 minutes late, you need to reschedule your appointment or see a walk-in advisor if available. Current, Returning, Transfer, and High school students are allotted 30-minutes and New students are allotted 1 hour appointments.

    Phone appointments are available for Current, Returning, and Transfer students but not New or High School students. New and High School should schedule either an in person or virtual appointment or walk-in and meet with an advisor.

    • Please call if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
    • Be at your computer in a quiet/private location, logged into your MyButlerCC account and ready at the time of your appointment. For log in assistance call the Service Desk 316-322-3306. An advisor will walk you through enrolling into your classes using your MyButlerCC account.
    • The advisor will send you a verification text.
    • If you are more than 5 minutes late, you need to reschedule your appointment or walk-in and meet with an advisor.
    • Students are allotted 30-minute appointments.

    • Click “Join your appointment” in your email and log into Microsoft Teams using your Butler login information.
    • Make sure your webcam and microphone are on and working and you have a photo ID ready to show or the advisor will send you a verification text.
    • If you are more than 5 minutes late, you need to reschedule or walk-in and meet with an advisor.High school and Current/Returning/Transfer students are allotted 30-minute appointments and New students are allotted 1 hour. Current, Returning, Transfer, and High school students are allotted 30-minutes and New students are allotted 1 hour appointments.
