Bookstore Clerk

The Bookstore Clerk is responsible to the Andover Bookstore Supervisor and the Assistant Supervisor for the opening and closing of the bookstore at Butler of Andover. Will be responsible to operate the Bookstore; answer the phone; operate the cash drawer; and assist in processing books and incoming inventory, receiving and processing large amounts of freight on a daily basis, taking inventory, and cleaning the store and its displays. Must be able to work well with people, run a cash register, as well as have the ability to stoop, bend, use a step ladder to reach overhead, lift 50-70 pounds and unload freight trucks. Must be able to lead and contribute to a team environment and possess assertiveness and diplomacy. Must understand and apply appropriate Help Desk Institute and ITIL best practices and be able to identify, isolate and communicate problems from/to all levels of users. Must have understanding of TCP/IP, independent judgment, time management skills, the ability to follow both written and oral complex instructions, excellent analytical, organizational, planning and supervisory skills and possess aptitude for training and development of staff and customers. Two years supervisory experience and experience in HTML and web scripting required, with two years experience in helpdesk environment and in a PC Support environment preferred..
