The Instructional Technology Specialist will work with the Director of Instructional Technology under the direction of the Dean, Learning Resources and Services. He/she will be responsible for training faculty, staff and administration in computer technologies applicable to the classroom and to work experience, providing support for faculty working on instructional technology projects, and facilitating procedures related to delivery of telecourses and online courses. Will oversee ordering and distribution of instructional support materials related to telecourses and to develop user-friendly tutorials for instruction-related software. Also responsible to maintain database of all telecourses offered at all Butler locations and to maintain Online Regents Catalog listing of all online offerings. Must possess a high degree of organizational and planning skills, a thorough knowledge of instructional technology, and good written and oral communication skills. Must also possess excellent teaching/training skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. A minimum of one year experience in using technology in education and prior experience in training/teaching adults is required. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree and 18 hours or equivalent experience in information technologies preferred. Required knowledge and skills - master's degree in education, business or field that complements resource development; five years college administrative experience including personnel and budget management; three years direct management of state/federal programs; strong interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated ability to work as a member of leadership team; and demonstrated experience in the use of management information systems for data collection and analysis. Custodial Technician

Responsible for cleaning offices, hallways, stairwells, rest rooms, classrooms, maintenance areas and public areas. Each area will have specific duties to attend to. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions&$46 Must be flexible in working routine in order to accommodate the many changes of college events. Must be able to work overtime and adapt to unscheduled activities. Must have knowledge of chemical products use and storage. Must be in good physical health and possess a Kansas driver's license. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without limitations required. Required knowledge of custodial duties, associated equipment and cleaning solvents. High school diploma or equivalent required. Electrician/Telecommunication Specialist

The Journeyman Electrician/Telecommunications Specialist performs maintenance and repair on all campus electrical systems. The specialist also does installation, maintenance and repairs to the campus telecommunications systems and assists in the maintenance of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. This position has limited supervisory authority while under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of General Services. Will also assist with general services, grounds and technical services as needed and perform plumbing tasks as required. Will troubleshoot and maintain campus fire alarm systems. Must possess the ability to do trade related mathematics and be able to communicate with other trades. Must be able to make diagnostic decisions based on education, experience and instrument readiness; be able to safely direct helpers; be able to climb, stoop, bend and work in awkward positions and be able to life a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and be willing to work overtime and weekends in emergencies. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a working licensed journeyman with a minimum of two years experience and documented job related training. Sign Language Interpreter

The sign language interpreter is responsible to provide sign interpretation during classes. Must possess a Kansas State Certification at a Level 3 : 3 or higher.
