The Butler Community College Board of Trustees recently named Dr. Jackie Vietti as Interim President. Vietti, who previously served as President of Butler from 1995-2012, will take over for the retiring Dr. Kimberly Krull effective Monday, January 6, 2025. The National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) has announced that, for the second season in a row, Butler Community College students will serve as the primary production team for an ESPN broadcast. The Butler Grizzlies football team will play Snow College of Ephraim, Utah, on Saturday, September 28, at 1:30 p.m at BG Veterans Memorial Stadium, and Butler Creative TV (BCTV) will produce the game in partnership with the NJCAA and California's Tourbeau Sports. Butler Community College’s new shooting sports team has begun its first season with competitions starting mid-September. Coach Darren Jackson is training four experienced shooters who will compete in two nationally-recognized leagues. Butler Community College is pleased to announce Dr. Barry Robinson has been named Vice President of Academics for the College. His first day was Monday, August 12. Dr. Robinson comes to Butler after serving as Vice President of Instruction at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington. Prior to that, he was Executive Dean at Seattle Central College in Seattle, Washington, and Academic Dean at Green River College in Auburn, Washington. Christina Byram officially accepted the role of Vice President of Digital Transformation and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Butler Community College. Jan Stitt, Director of Food Services for Great Western Dining, is more than a supervisor to the dining center student workers, as she often goes above and beyond for them. Georgina Casanova and her son Miguel Alvarado of Augusta are both graduates of Butler Community College’s Adult Education program and members of the National Adult Education Honor Society (NAEHS).
