Accounting Professionals Start Here

Learn the core principles of accounting, including financial reporting, managerial concepts, budgeting and business ethics. You gain the tools you need to build a strong career foundation. Develop expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements, understanding regulatory standards and providing strategic financial insight.

We equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to eventually become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

University Transfer and Future Career Options

Our program is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of an Accounting degree. Once you earn your associate degree, you have transfer options to build on your Butler experience.

      From a Grizzly to a Wildcat

      A 2+2 partnership exists between Butler Community College and Kansas State University in Accounting. What does this mean for you as a Butler student? After completing two years of coursework at Butler to earn an associate degree, you can seamlessly transfer your credits to Kansas State University, ensuring you receive a bachelor's degree in the remaining two-year timeframe.

      Bachelor's Degree with Ottawa University

      Students who receive an Associate of Science degree in accounting from Butler Community College can take Ottawa University classes and receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a marketing concentration.

      Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)

      Build your professional marketing skills through collegiate competitions. While building your professional résumé and contacts, you’ll be a member of a national business leadership organization with competitive business activities across the country.
