Nursing Program Options

The Butler Community College Nursing Program is a bi-level associate-degree nursing program, with two possible tracks of study, or program options, for students wishing to obtain their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing and take the NCLEX-RN® to be a registered nurse (RN).

One track for traditional students is offered at two sites, Butler of El Dorado (BOE) and Butler of Winfield (BOW); and one program option for Advanced Standing students.

Advanced Standing students are current LPNs who wish to complete their RN degree. This is only offered at the Butler of El Dorado site. As a bi-level program, we provide the traditional nursing student with the option to take the NCLEX-PN® after successful completion of the first level of the nursing program but do not require licensure to progress to the second level.
